WEDDINGS and Special events
We are based in Crested Butte, CO, but are wanders who pursue adventure in unexpected places
(we met in an airport in Mexico and have not stopped exploring since). We are available for events in both the US and abroad.
Our travels, deep love for each other, and years of special event experience give us a leg up in understanding how to set the mood for adventure/destination weddings, events, and elopements.
With 28 originals and over 300 cover songs, we love to create exceptional set lists to fit the mood. Both of us play guitar and mandolin and switch leading vocals and harmonizing.
From lovely to extraordinary
We believe in co-creating an experience with those wanting an event, and that applies to pricing as well. We understand every budget is as unique as every event, so we work with clients to come up with creative options based on budget, mood, location, expenses, and desires. We can bring our 4 person band dressed to the 9's or our duo playing barefoot.

I remember when you guys got out of the car and we all hugged and introduced ourselves and we were immediately at ease. You were professional, respectful, helpful, kind, and clear eyed. You were excited to share in our joy and happiness and jam out on the porch.
We danced in the grass, my feet bare, Eric's beer in hand. The music fit the mood - from the songs that made us laugh and play, to the ones we could slow down and dance to.
Honestly, I wish we could do it over and over and over again, because we missed too much of the music with the other obligations and you all were fantastic. You exceeded any expectations we may have had.

Megan and Justin were an absolute pleasure to work with for our rehearsal dinner. They made the entire process stress free and brought their own love and joy to every aspect.
The planning process could not have been easier - they listened to what we liked and helped us pick songs that would fit the event, always understanding when I was late to reply and never pressuring us.
On the day of, their sunny attitudes helped ease our stress before the event even began and they seamlessly emceed the entire night. I could go on and on about how great it was to work with them, but by far the best part was the music itself.
I had seen videos of them performing so I knew it would be good, but the live performance far exceeded my expectations - the playlist and execution was flawless. They really went above and beyond and even learned a song to play with our friend as part of his toast. I highly recommend Sunny Downpour!

Anna + Colin
Megan and Justin radiate such beautiful energy on the stage and instantly pull your heartstrings.
They played at our wedding at Ibar and had all of our guests melting! I couldn’t stop crying each time I heard Megan’s voice.
They are not just glorious musicians but they are both natural entertainers and have the whole rooms’ attention in between songs.
Everything about Sunny Downpour is magnetic and powerful! I’m so grateful to know them and I always recommend them to friends and loved ones.
